About Us
HELP Save Our Sons is an organization committed to inspiring good character and resilience in young boys. Our goal is to create a population of young men who strive to positively impact their communities and beyond.
HELP Save Our Sons was established in 2021 by Vikki Pollard, a philanthropist who has, for over two decades, served as a volunteer in youth services and victim advocacy programs.
We believe early intervention is crucial for empowering boys. We offer life-changing mentorship and leadership development programs to equip them with unparalleled critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Our programs are designed to help them to, find their purpose, overcome challenges without giving up, and live out their dreams.
Our Methodology
The Dilemma
A study of the 100 largest US school districts revealed a low graduation rate for African-American males. Compounding this concern, research suggests a link between dropping out of high school and increased risk for involvement in the criminal justice system for this demographic.
The Solution
A study of the 100 largest US school districts revealed a concerning achievement gap for African-American males. While the exact diploma attainment rate is low, the research suggests a troubling link - those who don't graduate are more likely to be involved in the criminal justice system later in life.
Our Approach
A study of the 100 largest US school districts revealed a concerning achievement gap for African-American males. While the specific diploma attainment rate was low, the research also identified a troubling correlation: Black males who don't graduate high school are significantly more likely to be involved in the criminal justice system.
