About Us

HELP Save Our Sons is an organization committed to inspiring good character and resilience in young boys. Our goal is to create a population of young men who strive to positively impact their communities and beyond.

HELP Save Our Sons was established in 2021 by Vikki Pollard, a philanthropist who has, for over two decades, served as a volunteer in youth services and victim advocacy programs.

We believe early intervention is crucial for empowering boys. We offer life-changing mentorship and leadership development programs to equip them with unparalleled critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Our programs are designed to help them to, find their purpose, overcome challenges without giving up, and live out their dreams.

Our Methodology

The Dilemma

A study of the 100 largest US school districts revealed a low graduation rate for African-American males. This is concerning because education is a proven key to unlocking economic opportunity. Compounding this concern, the research suggests a troubling link - those who don't graduate are more likely to be involved in the criminal justice system later in life.

The Solution

Why are they dropping out of school and what can be done to get them back on track to graduate? Generally, students have the will to graduate, but they often do not have the necessary support. The solution for this dilemma is Help Save Our Sons. It is our mission to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve.

Our Approach

Our approach is simple, develop and strengthen the spiritual nature within each participant, this will be the foundation for growth. In addition, we will provide the tools and support necessary for their total transformation. The ultimate goal is to Influence, Impact & Inspire the lives of African American teenage boys living in Chicago so that they may lead fruitful & fulfilling lives.
